Location: Sag Harbor, Long Island, NY
Logline: A young trans man inherits his estranged uncle’s house, and once there with his boyfriend, his longing for freedom and solitude tests their relationship.
Synopsis: Sascha and his boyfriend Derrick drive to a house neither of them have ever been to — Sascha’s estranged uncle’s house, which he has just inherited in the wake of his uncle’s sudden death. When they arrive at the house, Sascha is immediately overcome with the ghosts of his family and the trauma he’s compartmentalized in order to survive, which leaves no room for Derrick. Sascha attempts to cope the easiest way he knows how — with sex, but when that fails, he must decide what he really needs.
Character Breakdown: DERRICK (transmasculine, mid 20s-30s): Sascha’s boyfriend who’s looking forward to an intimate weekend away. Derrick is striking upon first glance. A bit of a rough exterior...until he smiles.
***Partial nudity required. See scene description below.***
SASCHA and DERRICK naked, on top of each other on the couch. Kissing rough, nails digging into backs, sweating. We don’t really see their bodies, they are entwined, they obstruct each other.
